Urs Hzrt KHWAJAH MAUDOOD CHISHTY (R.A) 1440 Hijri.

Urs is celebrated on 1st Rajab 1440
Approx Saturday 9th March 2019
Depending on the Lunar date of your country.
Hazrat KHWAJAH MAUDOOD CHISHTY (R.A)
His titles are Qutubul Aqtab and Qutbud Deen. He is also known by the titles Shama’ Sufiyan (The Candle of the Sufis) and Chiragh-e-Chishtiyan (The Lamp of the Chishtis).
He was born in the year 430 Hijri and was a Husaini Sayyid. His father was Khwajah Abu Yusuf from whom he had received the mantle of Khilaafate. By the age of 7 years he was a Hafiz of the Qur’aan and at 16 he had completed the course of Uloom-e-Zaahiriyyah. It was during this time (after completion of his academic career) that he wrote the kitaabs, Minhajul Aarifeen and Khulasatush Shariat.
When he was 29 years, his father died. He discharged the right of his father’s office commendably in guiding mankind. So numerous were the people who flocked to him for spiritual and moral guidance that his khulafaa alone numbered ten thousand while his mureedeen were countless.
He had acquired the miracle of Tay’ul Ardh (i.e. to traverse great distances in moments). When he wished to perform tawaaf, he would in moments be miraculously in Makkah Mukarramah.
He associated much with the Fuqara, never wearing beautiful garments. The degree of his tawaadhu (humility) was exceptionally lofty in perfection. He was always the first to initiate Salaam and he would stand in honour of every person.
He had also acquired the capabilities known as Kashf-e-Quloob (Revelation of the hearts) and Kashf-e-Quboor (Revelation of the graves). Once a prince came to him and requested for some tabarruk (any item of the Shaikh). Shaikh Madood refused. The prince brought along a few sincere persons to intercede for him. Thus, the Shaikh presented the prince a topi. But he added: “Guard it otherwise you will regret.” On his return the prince became engrossed in his play and amusement. When the Shaikh discovered this, he said:
“What, did the topi not perform its function?”
After a few days, the prince was arrested for some crime and his eyes were taken out.
It is impossible to enumerate Khwajah Maudood’s Khulafaa. For the sake of barkat, a few are mentioned hereunder.
Khwajah Abu Ahmad, Khwajah Shareef Zandani, Shah Sanjan, Shaikh Abu Naseer Shakeeban, Shaikh Hasan Tibti, Shaikh Ahmad Baderoon, Khwajah Sabz Paush, Shaikh Uthman Awwal and Khwajah Abul Hasan. Among them, the link in this (Chishti) Silsilah is Khwajah Shareef Zandani who will soon be discussed.
His Demise
Shaikh Maudood passed away in the beginning of Rajab 427 Hijri at the age of 97 years. His first Janaazah Salaat was performed by invisible (ghaib) men. Thereafter the general public performed the Janaazah Salaat. After the Janaazah Salaat, the Janaazah of its own accord, moved in mid-air. Seeing this miraculous event of Khwajah Maudood, numerous people accepted Islam.
His grave is in Chisht in Afghanistan.

Urs of Hzrt KHWAJA MUHAMMAD (OR ABU MUHAMMAD BIN ABI AHMAD) R.A 1440 Hijri

Urs will be celebrated on 1st Rajab 1440 ( Saturday 9th March 2019)
Hzrt KHWAJA MUHAMMAD (OR ABU MUHAMMAD BIN ABI AHMAD) R.A
His title was Waliyud Deen or Naasihud Deen. He was a born wali. During his mother’s pregnancy, the sound of Thikrullah could be heard from her body. He was a Syed, being a descendent of Hazrat Hasan Ibne Ali (A.S). He was born in Muharram 331 Hijri. At the time of birth he recited the Kalimah seven times. Even while being breast-fed, he engaged in Thikrullah. In infancy he would raise his eyes upwards to the heavens at the five Salaat times and recite the Kalimah in abundance. When a non-Muslim would come to witness this phenomenon, he would accept Islam. His father had gained the mantle of khilaafate from Khwaja Abu Ahmad.
At the age of 7 he became bay’t and until the age of 12 he lived alone in a room. Every day he fasted. He practiced mujaahadah excessively.
Once at the river bank while he was patching his shawl, the king arrived and gave him a bag full of dinars (gold coins) which Hazrat refused to accept. When the king insisted that he accepts the gift, Hazratt said that accepting gifts was not the way of his seniors, hence he too would not accept. When the king persisted, Hazrat Muhammad turned his gaze to the river and immediately shoals of fish surfaced, each holding a dinar in its mouth. The fish swam towards the river bank where Hazrat was. Hazrat Shaikh said:
“When a man has at his disposal such a vast treasure, what value will he attach to your bag?”
Khwaja Abu Muhammad’s sister too was extremely pious. She was perpetually engrossed in the remembrance of Allah Ta’ala, hence she had no inclination for marriage. Once Khwaja Abu Muhammad said to her:
“Sister, it has been decreed that a son will be born to you. This son will be the Qutbul Aqtaab. Therefore do get married.”
But because of her engrossment in thikrullah, she refused. After a few days she saw in a dream her father giving her the same instruction. Muhammad Sam’an with whom her nikah was destined also saw a similar dream. Even Khwaja Abu Muhammad saw this dream. Finally, the nikah was performed in the morning. Khwaja Abu Yusuf who is the Khalifah of Shaikh Abu Muhammad was born of this union.
At the age of 70 years he was divinely inspired to join Sultan Mahmْood Ghaznawi in the Jihaad against Somnath (in India). Taking a few Mureedeen with, he joined in the battle field.
His Demise
Hazrat Shaikh passed away on the 4th Rabiul Awwal or in the beginning of Rajab in the year 411 Hijri at the age of 80. His grave is in Chishty.
Khwajah Abu Yusuf, Khwaja Muhammad Kaku and Khwaja Ustad Marwan were his khulafaa.

Urs of Hzrt Abu Bakr (R.A)

22nd Jumadi-ul-Thani , 1440 Hijri
This approx on: Thursday 28th Feb 2019
(Depending on Lunar date of your country).

On 22nd day of this Lunar Month in Ajmer Sharif, highly inspiring programme, Urs of Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddique (Radi Allah Unho) is celebrated at a specific demise at the shrine in Ajmer Sharif.

Hzrt Abu Bakr (Radi Allahu anhu’s) real name was Abdullah, and he was given the title of “As Siddique” or”Testifier to the Truth.” His father, ‘Uthman, was known as Abu Quhafah and his mother, Salma, was known as Ummul Khair. He was two and a half years younger than the blessed and final Prophet Sayyiduna Rasulullah (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam).

Hzrt Abu Bakr (R.A.) the First Among Men to Enter Islam.

Hzrt Abu Bakr (R.A) were always a very close Companion of the Holy Prophet, he knew them better than any other man. He knew how honest and upright the Prophet was. Such knowledge of the Prophet made Abu Bakr (R.A) be the first man to follow the Message of Prophet Muhammad sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam. He was indeed the first adult male to accept Islam.

The Holy Prophet told Abu Bakr (R.A) what had happened at Mount Hira’, he told him that Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala has revealed to him and made him His Messenger.

When Abu Bakr (R.A) heard this from the prophet sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, he did not stop to think, he at once became a Muslim. He submitted to Islam with such determination that once the Holy Prophet himself remarked, “I called people to Islam, everybody thought over it, at least for a while, but this was not the case with Abu Bakr (R.A), the moment I put Islam before him, he accepted it without any hesitation”. He was titled As-Siddiq by the Prophet because his faith was too strong to be shaken by anything.

In fact, Abu Bakr (R.A) was more than a great believer, as soon as he became a Muslim, he immediately began to preach Islam to others. Among those who accepted Abu Bakr’s invitation to Islam were; Uthman, Zubair, Talha, Abdul Rahman bin Auf, Saadi bin Waqqas and others who later became the pillars of Islam.

Abu Bakr’s love of the Prophet sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam was so great that he was willing to sacrifice his life for the sake of protecting and comforting the Prophet saw.

Such love and sacrifice were demonstrated when one day the Holy Prophet was saying his prayers in the Ka’ba, while some of the chiefs of Mecca were sitting in the court yard of the Ka’ba. Seeing the Prophet praying, ‘Uqbah bin Abi Mu’eet took a long piece of cloths and put it around the Prophet’s neck and twisted it hard in an attempt to strangle the Prophet sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam to death. At that moment Abu Bakr (R.A) happened to pass by from a distance, he saw ‘Uqbah trying to strangle the Prophet to death. Immediately Abu Bakr ran to the help of the Prophet, he pushed ‘Uqbah aside and took the cloth from around the Prophet’s neck. Thereupon the enemies of Islâm came down upon Abu Bakr and beat him , although Abu Bakr with faith like a rock did not care for his own suffering, he was glad that he was able to save the Prophet of Allah, even at the risk of his own life.

Abu Bakr with the wealth he had, also had a major role in freeing some of the Muslim slaves, who were barbarically tortured by their heartless Mushrik masters to give up the Faith and return to their masters’ beliefs. The heartless monsters tried all kinds of torture: they made them lie all naked on the burning desert sand, putting big stones on their chest, as well as other kinds of torture. Here Abu Bakr’s wealth came to the rescue, as he bought the poor helpless slaves from their inhuman masters and set them free, Bilal Al-Habashi (R.A), the slave of Umayya bin Khalaf, was among those who were set free by Abu Bakr. Bilal(R.A) became afterwards the Mu’azzin at the Prophet’s mosque.

Khulafa-e-Rashideen (R.A) The Companions of the Beloved Prophet (S.A.W) hold the highest status in all His (S.A.W)’s Ummah.

It is the belief That Great Caliphs (Khulafa-e-Rashideen (R.A) are superior to all other Sahabah Ikraam.

Khulafa-e-Rashideen means “The Rightly Guided”. They truly followed in the foot steps of Our Prophet (S.A.W) and became the successors after Him (S.A.W).

The Holy Prophet (S.A.W) once said “Caliphate shall last for 30 years after me, and thereafter Kingship will be established”.

The Four main Caliphs (In Order of Caliphate) were: Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddique (R.A) (For a period of about 2 years). Hazrat Umar-e-Farooque (R.A) (For a period of about 10 years). Hazrat Usman-e-Ghani (R.A) (For a period of about 12 years). Hazrat Moula Ali Murtaza (R.A).(For a period of about 6 years). Hazrat Imaam Hasan (R.A) (For a period of about 6 months , After Hazrat Ali (R.A)). The Four main Caliphs (In Order of Caliphate) were:

His mother gave him in the care of Hz Sayed Faqruddin Muhammad Dehalvi (R.A.) who is famous by the name Maulana Faqr-e-paak/Fakr-e-Zahaan who later made Hz Shah Niyaz (R.A.) his spritual desciple. He used to call him Miyan.Hz. Faqr-e-paak deputed Hz Niyaz Be Niyaz to Bareli (Uttarpradesh,India) to carry out the work of silsila.
Hz Niyaz be Niyaz RA was inducted in Qadri Silsila by Hz Abdullah Baghdadi (R.A.),who was direct descendent of Hz Gausul Aazam (R.A.).The incidence is such that one day Hz Fakre Paak(R.A.) told that in his dream Piran-e-Pir Hz Ghaus Paak (R.A.) has introduced him to a certain person (closely related to him) who would be sent to initiate Hz Niyaz-be-Niyaz (R.A.)as his desciple and Hz.Fakre Paak should have him accepted by the person. After six days Hz Fakre Paak (R.A.) told one day that Hz.Ghaus Paak (R.A.) has told him that the person has reached Delhi.Hazrat Fakre Paak placed a tray full of sweets on his head and holding the hand of Hz Niyaz-be-Niyaz (R.A.) went to Jama Masjid Delhi, where the person (Hz Abdullah Baghdadi RA) was staying.Hazrat Fakre Paak recognized Hz Abdullah Baghdadi at once and placed the tray infront of him.Hazrat Niyaz-be-niyaz was accepted by Hz Abdullah Baghdadi (R.A.) as his spiritual desciple in front of huge crowd in the arch of Jama Masjid.
Hazrat Shah Niyaz Ahmed (R.A.) also received spiritual blessings from other saints of other sufi orders. In brief it can be put that he was initiated in Qadri order by Hz. Syed Abdullah Baghdadi (R.A.) and Hz Mohi-ud-din Diyasnami (R.A.),in Chisti-Nizami order by Hz Maulana Fakr-e-Jahaan(R.A.) and Hazrat Said-ud-din (R.A.),in Suharwardi order by Hz.Maulana Fakr-e-Jahaan(R.A.),and in Chisti-Sabri-Naqshbandi order from Hazrat Shah Rahmat-ul-lah.
Marriage and Children: He was married with the daughter of Hz Abdullah Baghdadi (R.A.) who died after some year.He had two sons,Hz Shah Nizam-ud-din Husain (R.A.)and Shah Nasir-ud-din, from his second wife.
Death (Wafaat/Visaal): 6th Jamadiussani 1250 Hijri (9th October 1834 C.E.)
The presence of Sarkar Qibla remains unmatched and thousands of disciples constantly look upon him as a source of inspiration and guidance with prayers for his long life, health and happiness.
Mazaar-e-aqdas: His tomb is in Bareilly (Uttar pradesh,India) .His Urs is celebrated annually in traditional way which is attended by huge crowd.
Presently the Successor (Gaddi Nashin) are:
Hazrat Qibla Shah Mohammad Hasnain-Hasni Mian Sahib Maddazillahu – Present Shaikh of the order ( Sitting on the Gold chair in the Image posted).
& Thier Son Hazrat Mehdi Miyan sahab ( With a turban on in the image posted).

Urs of Hazrat Nizamuddin Aulia (R.A) 2018

On 19th Rabi’ al-Thani/ Rabi ul Akhir 1440 Hijri
This is approx Thursday 27th December 2018.

Sultan-ul-Mashaikh, Mehboob-e-Ilahi, Hazrat Shaikh Khwaja Syed Muhammad Nizamuddin Auliya (R.A) (1238 – 3 April 1325), also known as Hazrat Nizamuddin, was a famous Sufi saint of the Chishti Order in the Indian Subcontinent, an order that believed in drawing close to God through renunciation of the world and service to humanity. He is one of the great saints of the Chishti order in India.

“In Allah’s garden you gather roses,
Being drunk with divine mysteries:
Hazrat Mehboob-e-Elahi — the beloved of Allah,
O, how I long for the attar of your company”.

His predecessors were Fariduddin Ganjshakar, Bakhtiyar Kaki and Moinuddin Chishti. In that sequence, they constitute the initial spiritual chain or silsila of the Chisti order, widely prevalent in the Indian subcontinent.

Nizamuddin Auliya, like his predecessors, stressed love as a means of realising God. For him his love of God implied a love of humanity. His vision of the world was marked by a highly evolved sense of secularity and kindness. It is claimed by the 14th century historiographer Ziauddin Barani that his influence on the Muslims of Delhi was such that a paradigm shift was effected in their outlook towards worldly matters. People began to be inclined towards mysticism and prayers and remaining aloof from the world.

Hazrat Nizamuddin Aulia (d. 1325 A.D.) represents in many ways the pinnacle of the Chishti Order of the Sufis. Hazrat Baba Farid, his spiritual guide, said to him on appointing him as his successor: “Be like a big tree, so that Allah’s creation, the human beings in their vast multitudes, may find rest and solace under your shadow.” This partly explains why he admitted so many (according to some, including Barani, too many) men into the Chishti order as his disciples. Another reason has been clearly formulated in this way: “History, nonetheless, bears out the wisdom of his open-ended policy . . . To far-flung areas of Uttar Pradesh, Rajastan, Gujarat, Bihar, Bengal and the Deccan, Hazrat Nizamuddin Aulia sent able disciples well versed in the Chishti practices, yet sensitive to the needs of the local populace.”

Dargah of Hzrt Nizamuddin Aulia -Delhi, INDIA.

With regard to the Sufi path, Hazrat Nizamuddin Aulia taught the following: “For a dervish, three things are necessary. They all begin with an ‘ain’ (an Arabic letter), i.e., Ishq (love), Aql (intelligence) and Ilm (knowledge). Let us discuss these three qualities one by one.
Sufism is, in its essence, the way of love. Love is considered to be a spiritual alchemy by means of which the baser qualities of a human being are transformed into higher ones. In this respect it suffices to say that Hazrat Nizamuddin Aulia is known as Mehboob-e-Elahi, the beloved of Allah. Of course the spiritual status of a beloved is much higher than that of a lover.
‘Intelligence’ changed in the hands of Hazrat Nizamuddin Aulia into wisdom. His wisdom manifested itself in the shape of service to humanity. About him it has been said: “He was not a miracle-monger of the ordinary sort. He never flew in the air or walked on water with dry and motionless feet. His greatness was the greatness of a loving heart; his miracles were the miracles of a deeply sympathetic soul. He could read a man’s inner heart by a glance at his face and spoke the words that brought consolation to a tortured heart.”
About ‘knowledge’, the third faculty of a dervish, it can be said that Hazrat Nizamuddin Aulia was one of the greatest scholars of his day.

He wanted to become a Qazi, but gave it all up in his pursuit of inner knowledge. After becoming a Mureed (spiritual disciple) of Hazrat Baba Farid, he lived in extremely poor circumstances. Seeing him, a former friend expressed great surprise as he remembered Hazrat Nizamuddin Aulia as one who had begun a very promising career as a scholar. When Hazrat Nizamuddin Aulia told all of this to Hazrat Baba Farid, his murshid (spiritual guide) suggested that he should recite the following couplet to his friend:

“You are not my fellow traveller.
Tread your own path
May you be affluent.
And I downtrodden”.

Then Hazrat Baba Farid ordered him to take a tray of food from the kitchen and carry it on his head to his friend. After doing so, he recited the verse. This deeply moved his friend.
One day, someone told a story of a certain saint who expired while slowly repeating the name of Allah. The eyes of Hazrat Nizamuddin Aulia, who was listening to this story, filled with tears and he recited this quatrain:

I come running to the end of Your street,
Tears are washing and washing my cheek.
Union with You — what else can I seek?
My soul I surrender as Your name I repeat.

Death
After an illness of about four months he expired in 725 A.H. (1324 A.D.) and realized seclusion (i.e., was buried) in Ghiyaspur, New Delhi- India) The locality is named after him today.
