*** Urs of Hazrath Amir Khusro (R.A) ***
This is on   18th of Shawwal 1438
Approx: Thursday 13th July 2017

Ab’ul Hasan Yamin al-Din Khusro (R.a), usually known by his pen name as Amir Khusro (or Amir Khusro), is a greatly loved composer of poetry, song and riddles from India. He was born in northern India. His father was of Turkish descent but born in Balkh, Afghanistan, the same region that gave birth to Jalaluddin Rumi. Khusrau’s mother was from Delhi. In 1206 Hazrat Amir Khusrau’s father migrated from transoxiana to delhi but settled in Patiali ( modern Uttar pradesh).
Amir Khusro (R.a) was a Sufi and disciple of Hazrat Nizamuddin Aulia, Mehboob e ilahi (R.a). By the order of his Pir/Sheikh/Spiritual mentor and guide, he developed Urdu language and was famously known as “father of urdu language”. Soon it became the tongue of Sufis both oral and in written forms. Urdu replaced persian language which was used for centuries for administrative work and for bussiness purpose.
Hazrat Ami Khusro (R.a) is often called the “father of qawwali music” — the ecstatic devotional Sufi music of India and Pakistan. He is also credited with the invention of tabla drums, the two hand drums played throughout the Indian subcontinent.Hazrat Amir Khusrau (R.a) was a classical poet and composer who served as court poet to several Delhi sultans.
His songs are still widely sung by Sufis and the devout, in every Sufi qawwali or in sama, around the world. Especially in India and Pakistan.
Hazrat Amir Khusro (R.a)reat Sufi, a wealthy merchant who once exchanged all his wealth for a pair of His Holiness Sultan-ul-Mashaikh shoes, an intellectual gaint of many languages, an artist, a prolific author, a genius musician who invented the ‘sitar’, a versatile composer and a true devoted “Mreed/disciple” of Holiness. He was “All-in-One” type of highly amazing mixture of Divine gifts
Hazrat Amir Khusro (R.A) was the son of Amir Alachin a Turk from Laccheen. His actual name was Saifuddin Mahmood Shamsi. At the invasion of Gengiz Khan he migrated from his native place Kesh near Samarkand to Balkh. Saifuddin was the chieftan of Hazara. Shamsuddin Iltamish the King of Delhi welcomed them to his capital. He provided shelter to the dislodged princes artisans, scholars and rich nobles. Saifuddin was among them.
It was around 626/ 360 A.H/1226 A.D. In 1230 A.D he was granted afief in the district of Patiali (in Etah District-Uttar Pradesh).
He married to BiBi Daulat Naz, who bore him three sons and one daughter. Yaminuddin (Khusro) was one among them born at Patiali, presently known as Hazrat Amir Khusro Nagar in District Etah (U.P.) in the year 652-653 A.H/1252-53 A.D. Yaminuddin’s (Khusro) father Saifuddin was mostly engaged in battles, and was killed in 660 A.H/1260 A.D. Yaminuddin or Khusrau was an intelligent child.
Poetry came to him at the early age of eight. He wrote his first diwan of poetry “Tuh’fatus-saghir” in 1271 A.d.In 1272 at the age of 19 years, Amir Khusrau’s First job was a royal court poet in the with King Balban. He was a royal coutier in more then 7 different Kings,Governors of his time. In the same year 1325 A.d, when Hazrat Nizamuddin aulia (R.a) left this world, soon after 6 months Hazrat Amir khusrau (R.a) also followed his sheikh and left this word with these words:
It is written in books that when Hazrat Amir Khusro, went to see His Holiness Hazrat Syed Nizamuddin Aulia (R.A) for the very first time. It is said that young Amir Khusrau (R.a) went to His Holiness khanqah, but did not entered and remained at the door by remarking, “I shall select my “Peer/Spiritual guide” myself, and if it is bestowed with Divine Power he will converse with me even from distance.” Thus sitting at the door he composed:

Tu an Shah-e-ke bar aiwan-e-qasrat.
Kabutar gar nashinad baz garded.
Gharib-e mustanande baradar amad.
Be ayat andar un ya baz gardad.
(You are such a mighty King that if a pigeon sits on your palace, it turns into a hawk. An outsider and a needy person has come at your door, please let him know whether he should come in, or go away).
His Holiness who had supernatural powers sent him the following verse in reply:
“Biya yet andarun marde haqiqat,
Kibama yak nafas hamraz gardad,
Agar ablah buwad an mard nadan,
Azan rahe ki amad baz gardad.”
(The person who knows the truth may come inside so that we may exchange divine secrets between us for a moment. If that person is ignorant, then he should return on the same path from where he has come here.)

Hazrat Amir Khusro (R.a) immediately got up and ran to His Holiness and fell on his feet and wept! His Holiness accepted him as his disciple (murid) and gradually the two became inseparable and attached to each other.
Love is deep rooted in human nature. Every Soul has a natural inclination towards another soul. Love in fact, –beautifies the soul, and beauty of the soul resides in love for humanity. Love, the Sufis believe is greater than religion. Love is the essence of all creeds. Every worshiper worships God out of Love. Love enslaves him. The true majestic welcomes love whatever its guise. One who has a perfect insight beholds God in everything.

“Gori sovay sej par, mukh par daaray kes,
Chal Khusrau ghar aapnay, saanjh bhayee chahu des.”
“The fair maiden rests on the wreath (of roses),
Her tresses covering her face,
Let us, Oh Khusrau go back now,
The dark dusk settles in four corners.”

Behind the Chillah of Hazrat Khwaja Moinuddin Hasan Chishty (R.A), the Chillah of Hazrat Khwaja Usman Harooni (R.A)(Usmani Chillah) stands with its beautiful building which is surrounded by hills and looks out across the Anasagar lake.
Within the Usmani Chillah compound are buried the holy relics of Hazrat Khwaja Usman e Harooni (R.A) , brought from Mecca in 1935 AD, by Nawab Gudri Shah Baba III.

Khwaja Usman Haarooni (R.A)

They were the Spiritual Master/Guide/Murshid of Hz. Khwaja Gharib Nawaz (R.A)
Khwaja Usman Harooni was born in Haroon, which is in Iran. According to some, he was born in 526 AH (1131 AD) and according to others, he was born in 510 AH (1116 AD). He is also known by his nicknames as Abu Noor and Abu Mansur.
When he was rather young, he came in touch with an absorbed mystic (majzub) by the name of Chirk. This association with Chirk brought about a significant transformation in his life. As a result, the material world lost its charm for him and he decided to embrace a higher moral and spiritual life.
Khwaja Usman Harooni went to meet Hazrat Haji Sharif Zindani, a renowned mystic and saint of the Chishti Order, with a request to be enrolled as his spiritual disciple. Khwaja Haji Sharif Zindani found him to be a fit person and accepted the request, by placing a four-edged cap upon the head of Khwaja Usman Harooni.
He then told him that the four-edged cap implied the following four things:
First is the renunciation of this world;
Second is the renunciation of the world hereafter;
Third is the renunciation of the desires of the self;
Fourth is the renunciation of everything other than God.
Khwaja Usman Harooni spent over thirty years in the company of his spiritual guide. During this period, he was engaged in ascetic practices and prayers. As time passed, he gained many spiritual accomplishments. He was then asked by his spiritual guide to move on and spread the Gospel of Truth.
Travels
Khwaja Usman Harooni undertook many tours and travels to preach the Gospel of Truth. In the process, he visited many countries and cities. Among them are prominent Bukhara, Baghdad, Falooja, Damascus, Mecca and Madina. During the course of his travels, he performed the Hajj, or the annual pilgrimage to Mecca.
In almost all cities, he enjoyed the company of renowned sufis and accomplished dervishes. And while on way to Oosh, he met Sheikh Bahauddin of Oosh. And when he reached Badakshan, he met a saintly man who was one of the attendants of Hazrat Junayd of Baghdad.
He reached Baghdad once again, and there he stayed for a while. During all the travels, he was accompanied by his close and dear spiritual disciple, Khwaja Moin-ud-din Hasan Chishti, who carried his tiffin basket.
After a while, Hazrat Usman Harroni visited India, during the rule of Sultan Altamish.
Death
Khwaja Usman Harooni breathed his last on 5th of Shawaal in the year 617 AH (1220 AD). His blessings are still invoked by thousands of people belonging to every strata of society and every school of thought. While his tomb lies in Mecca, there is also a symbol of his strength and source of his blessings at the Usmani Chilla at Ajmer.
Message and teachings
According to Khwaja Usman Harooni, a great man is one who is endowed with virtues like contentment, sincerity, self-abnegation, self-sacrifice and above all, spirit of renunciation. He said that the ego in a man was an enemy, as it did not allow him to think rationally, act wisely and live happily. He emphasised that unless a man loves human beings, it is impossible for him to love God.
His advice was simple and his message was as simple and that was “Live”.
To exist is one thing but to LIVE another. To exist means to merely breathe, but to live means to keep the welfare of fellow beings uppermost in priority. To live a good life requires a serious effort on one’s own part. No exterior agency, legislation or act can make the man a moral being. Inner discovery is very important.
To help his disciples live a better life, Khwaja Usman Harooni gave discourses at times to guide them towards a better path. Of his many teachings, prominent are:

  • Once the Friend becomes your friend, the whole universe becomes yours. Then it is necessary that you should become unmindful of everything else except the Friend, should ever be with Him and should follow Him faithfully.
  • According to him, the faithful is one who keeps three things dear to his heart: mendicancy, illness and death.
  • It is best to not weep or wail in times of difficulty. In fact, according to the witness of Hazrat Abdullah Ansari, Holy Prophet Mohammed has laid down that the one who weeps and wails in times of trouble and tribulation invites the curse of God upon himself.
  • The one who feeds the hungry is dear to God. God fulfills a thousand wants and frees such a person from hell-fire.
  • He who gives food to a dervish becomes free from all sins.

Hzrt Fakhruddin Gurdezi (R.A) Annual Urs

Hzrt Fakhruddin Gurdezi (R.A)  annual Urs, is celebrated on the 25th & 26th of Rajab,
This year Urs sharif  falls on approx Sunday 23rd April 2017
According to the references available in the authentic historical sources it is evident that a small batch of pious followers had escorted Hazrat Khwaja Moinuddin Chishty on his religious mission to India. Their number is said to be around forty and one of them was Hazrat Khwaja Syed Fakhruddin Ahmed Gudezi (R.A.) also known as Maulana Ahmad.
When Hazrat Khwaja Moinuddin proceeded for India, his Peer-o-Murshid (spiritual mentor) Hazrat Khwaja Usman Haruni asked him to take one of his blood relations and followers, Hazrat Khwaja Fakhruddin Gurdezi (R.A.) along with him. Hazrat Khwaja Syed Fakhruddin Gurdezi, the Khadim-e-khas would attend to Hazrat Khwaja Moinuddin Chishty (R.A.) always, therefore he and his descendants the present khadim community took pride and deemed it an honor to be called “KHADIMS” of Hazrat Khwaja Garib Nawaz (R.A.).
Syed Fakhruddin stayed with the great Khwaja unto his last breath and when Khwaja Saheb kept him self busy in prayer and meditation or in seclusion for a number of days he looked after his affairs and management of Khanah and Langar Khana.
Hazrat Syed Fakhruddin Gurdezi (R.A.) died at Ajmer, on 25th of Rajjab 642 A.H./1245 (nearly a decade after the “Wissal” (death) of Hazrat Khwaja Gharib Nawaz (R.A.) and was buried near Mazar – e – Pak of Khwaja Sahib in the Hujra, which is known as “Tosh – e – Khana” (Toshak – Khana). His annual Urs, is celebrated on the 25th of Rajjab, with all religious ceremonies by the Khuddam, Khwaja Sahib (Syedzadgan).
Khuddam-e-Khwaja and Lineage, Relation and Association with Khwaja Sahib:-
(Harke-Khidmat Kard Makhdum Shud)
The Khadims of Huzoor Khwaja Gharib Nawaz (R.A.) known as “Syedzadgan” trace their lineage from Hazrat Khwaja Syed Fakhruddin Gurdezi (R.A.) through his sons – Khwaja Syed Masood, Khwaja Syed Mehboob Bahlol and Khwaja Syed Ibrahim.
Hazrat Khwaja Syed Fakhruddin Gurdezi (R.A.) and Huzoor Khwaja Gharib Nawaz (R.A.) were first cousins and spiritual borthers and Hazrat Khwaja Syed Fakhruddin Gurdezi (R.A.) was also the Khadim-e-Khas of Hazrat Khwaja Gharib Nawaz (R.A.). He used to attend on Hazrat Khwaja Gharib Nawaz (R.A.) day in day out, therefore, he and his descendants, the present Khadim community took pride and deemed it an honour to be called “Khadims” of Hazrat Khwaja Gharib Nawaz (R.A)
Hazrat Khwaja Qutubuddin Bakhtiar Kaki (R.A) of Delhi in his book ‘Munis-ul-Arwah’ writes as under :
” During my twenty years company with my ‘Shaikh’ (spiritual leader), i did not find any other person , except Fakhruddin so near to him. ”
The Khuddam-e-Khwaja { Decendents of Hazrat Khwaja Syed Fakhruddin Gurdezi (R.A) } are also referred to as Mujavirs, Syedna, Sahibzadas, Khudma, Gaddinashins etc. by the devotees, and pilgrims, who pour all kinds of offerings (Nazar) upon them, in the name of Khwaja Moinuddin Chishty.
Khwaja Hussain Nagori (R.A) has alluded the Khadims of Khwaja Sahib as equivalent to Ridwan (the door keeper of heaven), and this shows how great Saints of the time held the Khadiman-e-Khwaja in high esteem, and appreciated their role.
The Mazar-e-Aqdas (Holy Shrine) of Hazrat Khwaja Gharib Nawaz (R.A.) always remained under the custody and care of the Khadim community from the very beginning, which proves that they are the custodians of the Holy Shrine (Mazar-e-Aqdas) in the true sense of the word. All the mundane rituals & traditions of the Mazar-e-Aqdas (Holy Shrine) are performed by Khadims alone.
“KHUDDAM-e-Khwaja’s RELATION WITH THE SHRINE IS NOT ONLY ANCIENT BUT INTIMATE”:-
The keys of the Holy Shrine including the Toshakhana are in the custody of the Khadims since inception according to centuries old Khalid Bardari system of our ancestors.
Only the Khadims have the privilege to open (after giving Azan at the door step of the Shrine) & close the doors of the Holy Shrine for centuries in religious & hereditary capacity.
Khadims are the only one’s entitled to take Zaireen (Pilgrims) for Ziyarat (Darshan) at the Holy Shrine, and they have the right to receive all kinds of Nazar & Niyaz (offerings) at the Holy Shrine (Mazar-e-Aqdas) of Huzoor Khwaja Gharib Nawaz (R.A.).
Undoubtedly, the Khadims, who have been attached to the Shrine since its inception, played a key role in the smooth functioning and in keeping strict discipline in the performances of these rituals and ceremonies. As a result, they often invited the ill-will and wrath of pilgrims and other officials. But their genuine concern and enforcement of established customs and rituals, showing strict adherence to the humanitarian approach of the Saint, was always upheld by the authorities.

Offerings and Judicial Pronouncement
For many years, khadims have been questioned about the right of receipt of offerings by the followers of Hazrat Khwaja Sahib. Efforts have been made to deprive khadims of their rights. They make anti Khadim propaganda and try to mislead people openly not to make any offerings to them. They also condemn the act of those who express their devotion to them and make offerings in monetary forms. This matter was finally resolved by the Supreme Court of India when the following Act was passed.

The Khadims right to receive offerings which has been judicially recognized in no manner affected or prejudiced by the impinged provisions. Even after the act came into force pilgrims might and would make offerings to the khadims and there is no provision in the act which prevents them from accepting such offerings when made.” AIR-1961 S.C. Page 1417.

The concept of Nazar- o -Niyaz, according to Sufi customs, specially Chishty trends is meant for those who are attached and serve the shrine and are called Majaveranor “Khuddam” Since the inception of the shrine, Khuddams were attached to the shrine and served here for centuries performing rituals and preaching noble Chishty ideals. Muhammad Bin Tughlug(1324) Sultan Mahmud Khilji(1455),Muzaffar Shah of Gujrat (1396), Rao Maldev of Jodhpur, Sher Shah Suri(1545), all offered Nazar- o –Niyaz to these Khuddams.
In lieu of their past services and attachment to the Dargah, these custodians of Shrine were offered land grants by Akbar and his successors, all of whom held them in high esteem and venerated many of the khadims of their age. Further more, it is because of their long association with the Dargah that people from all walks of life respect and venerate these Khuddam and rightly consider them the custodians and Gaddi Nashin of the Dargah.

Urs of Hazrath KHWAJAH SHAREEF ZANDANI (R.A)- Rajab 1438 Hijri.

FB_IMG_1490720456864
On approx 6th Rajab 1438 (4th Tuesday April 2017)
Depending on the Lunar date of your country
Urs Hazrath KHWAJAH SHAREEF ZANDANI (R.A)
His title was Noorud Deen. He was born in the year 492 Hijri in the town of Zandanah. He received the mantle of Khilaafate from Hadhrat Shaikh Khwajah Maudood Chishti.
He stayed in a forest for 40 years, fleeing from people. He subsisted on the leaves of trees and whatever he could find in the forest. He loved poverty and starvation. He would break fast only after three days. When he ate food, it was only saltless vegetables.
Once a faqeer came and informed Hadhrat with great humility that he had seven daughters, but no means of support whatsoever. He sought Hadhrat’s advice regarding the marriage of his daughters. Hadhrat said that he would arrange some plan the following day. On the way back, the faqeer met a kaafir who initiated a conversation. The faqeer mentioned his meeting with Hadhrat Shaikh and what had transpired. The kaafir commented that since the Shaikh himself was a faqeer, he would not be able to arrange anything. The kaafir added: “Tell him that if he works for me for seven years, I will give him seven thousand dinars.”
The Faqeer reported this offer to Hadhrat Shaikh Shareef who and he accepted. He went with the faqeer to the kaafir. He prevailed on the kaafir to give the seven thousand dinars to the faqeer in lieu of the service which the Shaikh had agreed on.
When the king heard of this incident, he immediately sent a gift of seven thousand dinars to Hadhrat Shaikh. But, the Shaikh distributed the king’s gift among the fuqara and said that his contract with the kaafir stipulated employment, not monetary compensation. When the kaafir saw this steadfast, independent and honourable attitude of Hadhrat, he was astonished and he immediately released him from the contract. Hadhrat made the following dua for the kaafir:

“You have set me free from your prison. May Allah set you free from Jahannum.”

This statement exercised a profound influence on the heart of the kaafir who, there and then, accepted Islam. He stayed in the service of Hadhrat Shaikh pursuing the knowledge of Sulook.
Once a follower presented a gift. However, Hadhrat Shaikh refused, saying that he had no need of it. Pointing towards the forest (where they were at the time), Hadhrat said:

“This forest is full of it (i.e. gold which was presented as a gift).”

When the man looked, he saw a stream of gold flowing.
It is said that whoever ate any food left over by Hadhrat, would become a Majzْb.
Crying was dominant in him. He would often let out a scream and cry, then lapse into unconsciousness. Once when someone asked him to explain his abundance of crying, he said:
“I am unable to contain myself when I think of the aayat:
‘I have not created jinn and man (for any purpose) except that they worship Me.’
While I have been created for Allah’s ibaadat, I am occupied with others.”
His Demise
His demise was on either the 3rd or 10th Rajab 612 Hijri at the age of 120 years. According to some, his grave is in Qunooh. Others say, in Zandanah. It is also said that he is buried in Shaam. His well-known Khalifah is Uthman Harْooni (R.A) Who were the Spiritual Guide ( Murshid) Of Hazrath Gharib Nawaz (R.A) Ajmeri.

Urs KHWAJAH MAUDOOD CHISHTY (R.A)

Message translated in English Means: Oh! Khwaja! Only Khwaja
Message translated in English Means: Oh! Khwaja! Only Khwaja

Urs is celebrated on 1st Rajab 1438 ( Thursday 30th March 2017)
Depending on the Lunar date of your country.
Hazrat KHWAJAH MAUDOOD CHISHTY (R.A)
His titles are Qutubul Aqtab and Qutbud Deen. He is also known by the titles Shama’ Sufiyan (The Candle of the Sufis) and Chiragh-e-Chishtiyan (The Lamp of the Chishtis).
He was born in the year 430 Hijri and was a Husaini Sayyid. His father was Khwajah Abu Yusuf from whom he had received the mantle of Khilaafate.

By the age of 7 years he was a Hafiz of the Qur’aan and at 16 he had completed the course of Uloom-e-Zaahiriyyah. It was during this time (after completion of his academic career) that he wrote the kitaabs, Minhajul Aarifeen and Khulasatush Shariat.
When he was 29 years, his father died. He discharged the right of his father’s office commendably in guiding mankind. So numerous were the people who flocked to him for spiritual and moral guidance that his khulafaa alone numbered ten thousand while his mureedeen were countless.
He had acquired the miracle of Tay’ul Ardh (i.e. to traverse great distances in moments). When he wished to perform tawaaf, he would in moments be miraculously in Makkah Mukarramah.
He associated much with the Fuqara, never wearing beautiful garments. The degree of his tawaadhu (humility) was exceptionally lofty in perfection. He was always the first to initiate Salaam and he would stand in honour of every person.
He had also acquired the capabilities known as Kashf-e-Quloob (Revelation of the hearts) and Kashf-e-Quboor (Revelation of the graves). Once a prince came to him and requested for some tabarruk (any item of the Shaikh). Shaikh Madood refused. The prince brought along a few sincere persons to intercede for him. Thus, the Shaikh presented the prince a topi. But he added: “Guard it otherwise you will regret.” On his return the prince became engrossed in his play and amusement. When the Shaikh discovered this, he said:
“What, did the topi not perform its function?”
After a few days, the prince was arrested for some crime and his eyes were taken out.
It is impossible to enumerate Khwajah Maudood’s Khulafaa. For the sake of barkat, a few are mentioned hereunder.
Khwajah Abu Ahmad, Khwajah Shareef Zandani, Shah Sanjan, Shaikh Abu Naseer Shakeeban, Shaikh Hasan Tibti, Shaikh Ahmad Baderoon, Khwajah Sabz Paush, Shaikh Uthman Awwal and Khwajah Abul Hasan. Among them, the link in this (Chishti) Silsilah is Khwajah Shareef Zandani who will soon be discussed.
His Demise
Shaikh Maudood passed away in the beginning of Rajab 427 Hijri at the age of 97 years. His first Janaazah Salaat was performed by invisible (ghaib) men. Thereafter the general public performed the Janaazah Salaat. After the Janaazah Salaat, the Janaazah of its own accord, moved in mid-air. Seeing this miraculous event of Khwajah Maudood, numerous people accepted Islam.
His grave is in Chisht in Afghanistan.

Urs of Hzrt KHWAJA MUHAMMAD (OR ABU MUHAMMAD BIN ABI AHMAD) R.A

Urs of   Hzrt KHWAJA MUHAMMAD (OR ABU MUHAMMAD BIN ABI AHMAD) R.A will be celebrated on 1st Rajab 1438 Hijri ,Depending on the New Rajab Moon this could be any day from Tuesday 28th March 2017.
His title was Waliyud Deen or Naasihud Deen. He was a born wali. During his mother’s pregnancy, the sound of Thikrullah could be heard from her body. He was a Syed, being a descendent of Hazrat Hasan Ibne Ali (A.S). He was born in Muharram 331 Hijri. At the time of birth he recited the Kalimah seven times. Even while being breastfed, he engaged in Thikrullah. In infancy he would raise his eyes upwards to the heavens at the five Salaat times and recite the Kalimah in abundance. When a non-Muslim would come to witness this phenomenon, he would accept Islam. His father had gained the mantle of khilaafate from Khwaja Abu Ahmad.
At the age of 7 he became bay’t and until the age of 12 he lived alone in a room. Every day he fasted. He practiced mujaahadah excessively.
Once at the river bank while he was patching his shawl, the king arrived and gave him a bag full of dinars (Gold coins) which Hazrat refused to accept. When the king insisted that he accepts the gift, Hazrat said that accepting gifts was not the way of his seniors, hence he too would not accept. When the king persisted, Hazrat Muhammad turned his gaze to the river and immediately shoals of fish surfaced, each holding a dinar in its mouth. The fish swam towards the river bank where Hazrat was. Hazrat Shaikh said:

“When a man has at his disposal such a vast treasure, what value will he attach to your bag?”

Khwaja Abu Muhammad’s sister too was extremely pious. She was perpetually engrossed in the remembrance of Allah Ta’ala, hence she had no inclination for marriage. Once Khwaja Abu Muhammad said to her:

“Sister, it has been decreed that a son will be born to you. This son will be the Qutbul Aqtaab. Therefore do get married.”

But because of her engrossment in thikrullah, she refused. After a few days she saw in a dream her father giving her the same instruction. Muhammad Sam’an with whom her nikah was destined also saw a similar dream. Even Khwaja Abu Muhammad saw this dream. Finally, the nikah was performed in the morning. Khwaja Abu Yusuf who is the Khalifah of Shaikh Abu Muhammad was born of this union.
At the age of 70 years he was divinely inspired to join Sultan Mahmْood Ghaznawi in the Jihaad against Somnath (in India). Taking a few Mureedeen with, he joined in the battle field.
His Demise
Hazrat Shaikh passed away on the 4th Rabiul Awwal or in the beginning of Rajab in the year 411 Hijri at the age of 80. His grave is in Chisht.
Khwajah Abu Yusuf, Khwaja Muhammad Kaku and Khwaja Ustad Marwan were his khulafaa.
