Urs of  Hazrat Bilal Habashi (R.A) al-Mu’azzineen 1440 Hijri -2018

The Urs of  Hazrat Bilal Habashi (Radi Allahu anhu) in  Syria is on 20th Muharram 1440 Hijri.
This is approx Monday 1st October 2018   (Depending on the Lunar date of your country).
Hazrat Bilal (R.A) was a black African primarily belonging to the Western Arabia. He was born in Abyssinia, also known as Ethiopia in the 6th Century A.D. His father, Rabah was an Arab and his mother, Hamama was basically an Abyssinian. Both of his parents were in custody of a rich Qureyshi person in Makkah known as Umayyah ibn Khalaf ibn Safwan, thus he (R.A) grew up as an enslaved child. He had to go through a lot of difficulties in his acceptance of Islam being a slave at the hands of non believers.

He was usually identified as “Bilal al-Habashi” as he belonged to Ethiopia, also called “Habsh” at that time. He (R.A) was a tall man, with dark brown complexion and thick hair. Hazrat Bilal (R.A) attained the greatest status of being Sayyid al-Mu’azzineen (leader of the Mu’azzins) which shows that there is no room for discrimination in the Religion of Peace on the basis of any cast, color or creed etc. He (R.A) was loyal, much loved and one of the most devoted companions of the Holy Prophet ﷺ.

First Slave To Have Embraced Islam
Although Hazrat Bilal (R.A) was a bondservant, but he had great conscious and insight due to which he never liked the existing man-made religious beliefs and corrupt codes and morals of living in the entire Arabia. Therefore, with the arrival of Islam, it took him no time to know about its rightfulness. He (R.A) did not care about the probable tough times in terms of facing oppression and torment of the disbelievers and became the very first slave to believe in Allahand His Apostle ﷺ.
Bearing The Nastiest Sufferings Being An Early Muslim
The master of Hazrat Bilal (R.A), Ummayah was a strict non believer and follower of his religious thoughts. When the Messenger ﷺ of Allah announced about His Prophet Hood and called everyone to Islam, Ummayah was among the top Qureyshi Chiefs who readily rejected Him and were ready to abolish Muslims from the surface of the earth. When he came to know about Bilal al-Habashi having secretly accepted Islam, he tortured him (R.A) severely which is regarded as the worst kind of anguish inflicted upon the early Muslims in Makkah. The infidels tried all sorts of physical torture on him including making him on the burning sand and keeping him chained. They tried their best to revert him back to the age of darkness, but Hazrat Bilal (R.A) stood firm on his Islamic faith and used to respond by saying “There is none to be worshipped but Allah.” and Ahad, Ahad (Allah is One, Allah is One).
This shows the extraordinary level of persistence of Hazrat Bilal (R.A) on his religious belief and his reliance in Allah SWT.

Becoming A Free Muslim
After going through a series of pain and ordeal at the hands of his master and other Qureyshi non believers, Hazrat Bilal (R.A) finally got his freedom when Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddiq (R.A) came to know about his condition and set him free from slavery after paying a considerable amount of money to his master. He was declared a free Muslims after that by Sayyindina Abu Bakr (R.A). Hence, Hazrat Bilal (R.A) set an extraordinary example of staying firm on the Islamic Conviction and bearing all kinds of torments in this cause.
Having An Honor Of Being the First Muezzin
Hazrat Bilal (R.A) had melodious and loud pitched voice. When, in the second year of Hijrah (Migration to Madina), the Call to Prayer was started by Rasulullah ﷺ on hearing the account of his companion`s dream about it, Bilal al-Habashi (R.A) was given privilege by the Holy Prophet ﷺ to become the very first Muezzin (Caller to Salah from Mosque) in the history of Islam due to his exceeding piety and love for Namaz. According to an authentic narration:

“Hadrat Bilaal (R.A) used to give the Fajr Adhaan from the roof of the house of a lady from the tribe of Banu Najjaar. Her home was joined to the Masjid. From the time of Sehri he used to sit on the roof waiting for the time of Fajr. When it was time to commence the Adhaan then he should stretch his limbs, and make the following Du’a after which he gave the Adhaan.
‘Oh Allah I praise you, and I desire that You become aid to the Quraysh to establish Your Deen’
 
The woman from whose roof he gave the Adhaan said that there was not a day that he did not mention this Du’a.” (Abu Dawud)

It shows that Hazrat Bilal (R.A) used to perform his duty of giving Adhan with great punctuality and also prayed to the Almighty Lord for making spreading of Islam in Makkah easy for Muslims. He (R.A) remained the leading Muezzin till the Holy Prophet ﷺ passed away. He did not perform Call to Salah regularly again because of his delivering of Adhan being liked to Rasulullah ﷺ and missing Him. Eventually, he (R.A) left Madina too due to same reason. He (R.A) gave Adhan once on the request of Second Caliph, Hazrat Umar (R.A) who had visited Damascus. Upon hearing this, Muslims rushed towards masjid before Fajr prayer in order to listen to Hazrat Bilal (R.A) giving Adhan once again. The whole congregation burst into tears on that day according to various narrations.
Criticism Over His Manner Of Adhan And Its Effects
The mode of speech of Bilah al-Habashi (R.A) was not normal, and his tongue could not pronounce the words same as others. When he (R.A) used to give Adhan (Call to Namaz), other Muslims passed judgments on him not being able to articulate the wordings of Adhan in the right way. Thus, on the occasion of one Fajar Salah, when he did not perform this religious act, the morning on that day would not prevail even after quite a time.
People went to the Messenger ﷺ of God to ask Him about this matter. The Angel Jibrael A.S (Gabriel) also came to Rasulullah ﷺ and told Him about Allah`s Dislike for people who criticized Hazrat Bilal (R.A) for Adhan. The Sun will not rise until Bilal al-Habashi (R.A) gave the Adhan. Thus, his call to prayer was even recognized highly up in the heavens and it shows how effective his mode of giving Adhan was!
Always Being With The Prophet 
Hazrat Bilal (R.A) spent his entire life in the true service of Islam and the Messenger ﷺ of Allah. He remained with Hazrat Muhammad ﷺ till He (PBUH) lived on earth. Wherever Rasulullah ﷺ visited, he (R.A) would accompany Him. When he would give Adhan, people would come to know that the Holy Prophet ﷺ had arrived in their area. He (R.A) learned and acquired nearly all the great Personality characteristics of the Apostle ﷺ of God by spending a lot of time with Him. He (R.A) was also given authority to control matters concerning helping the needy from whatever Rasulullah ﷺ had with Him. He also fought in all battles along with the Holy Prophet ﷺ and even continued doing it His passing away just for sake of upholding the name of Allah`s Religion.
Enduring Hunger And Having Immense Fear Of Allah SWT
Hazrat Bilal (R.A) used to go many days without eating enough food. He always remained grateful to the Almighty Lord for everything he had and never complained about lack of anything. He (R.A) also feared the Creator of the world of the worlds so much that he used to observe Soum (Fasting) occasionally.
According to one of the relations:

At one time Hadrat Bilal (R.A) presented himself in the company of beloved Prophet PBUH. It was morning and beloved Prophet PBUH was having meals. He (PBUH) told Bilal (R.A) to join him, who (R.A) mentioned to Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) that he was fasting. Beloved Prophet PBUH remarked, ‘We are eating our sustenance and the sustenance of Bilal (R.A) is preserved in Jannah.” Then He (PBUH) told Bilal (R.A) that the bones of a fasting person make Tasbeeh and the Angels request his forgiveness when something is eaten near him.” (Mishkat al-Masabih)

The above narration shows that Hazrat Bilal al-Habashi (R.A) had great fear of Allah SWT and used to fast to the extent that the Messenger ﷺ of God praised him for this quality and congratulated him of Paradise in his life.
In short, Hazrat Bilal (R.A) was a man of extraordinary qualities who devoted his entire life in the service of Islam. He became the earliest slave to have agreed to the Message of Allah and His Messenger ﷺ. He also happens to be the very first Muezzin in the history of Islam. He had strong faith in the Almighty Lord, and lived his life according to the true essence of the teachings of the Religion of Peace. Hazrat Bilal (R.A) was one of the most beloved companions of the Holy Prophet ﷺ. In his last days, he (R.A) fell ill while he was in Syria, and died at the age of sixty.

SayyidunaAbu al-Hasan Ali, Imam Zain al-‘Abideenis the fourth Imam and Shaykh of the Silsila Aaliyah Qaadiriyah Barakaatiyah Razviyah Nooriyah. He was one of the greatest Aabids of his era. Imam Zuhri (RadiAllahu Ta’ala Anho) says, (In my era) I have not seen any Quraysh more excellent than Imam Zain al-‘Abideen (RadiAllahu Ta’ala Anho).Hadrat Ibn Abbas (Radi Allahu Ta’ala Anho) used to look at Imam Zain al-‘Abideen (Radi Allahu Ta’ala Anho) and refer to him as the Beloved of the Beloved.BIRTH:He was born on a Thursday the 5th ofShabaan38 Hijri in MadinahMunawwarah. [Masaalikas-Saalikeen, Vol. 1, Page 207]
NAME:
HadratImam Hussain kept most of his children names attached to the name Ali. This was due to his love for his fatherSayyidunaAli (RadiAllahuTa’alaAnho). He was thus also named Ali. He was also known as Abu Muhammad,Abul Hassan,Abul Qaasim and Abu Bakr. His titles wereSajjad, Zain al-‘Abideen, Sayyid ul Abideen, Zakkiand etc.
EDUCATION:
He spent two years with his grandfather Sayyiduna Ali (Radi ALLAHuTa’ala Anho), ten years with his uncle Sayyiduna Imam Hasan (Radi ALLAH uTa’ala Anho) and eleven years with his father,Hadrat Imam Hussain (Radi ALLAH uTa’ala Anho).
BLESSED MOTHER:
His mother was known as Umm-e-Wulad, and was also known as ShaharBanu RadiAllahuTa’alaAnha. She was very pious and Allah fearing.
HIS FEATURES:
He was the image of his grandfather Sayyiduna Ali (RadiALLAHuTa’alaAnho). He was tan in complexion and not very tall. He had a full beard on which he used henna (mehndi).
PREDICTIONS OF HIS BIRTH:
HadratJaabir(RadiALLAHuTa’alaAnho) says, I was in the blessed court of the Prophet (SallallahoAlaihiwaAalihiwaSallam) and Imam Hussain (RadiALLAHuTa’alaAnho) was in the blessed arms of the Prophet (SallallahoAlaihiwaAalihiwaSallam). The Prophet (SallallahoAlaihiwaAalihiwaSallam) said, OJaabir(RadiALLAHuTa’alaAnho)! A son shall be born to him, whose name shall be Ali. Then he will have a child, whose name shall be Muhammad (ImamBaaqir). OJaabir! If you meet with him, then you should pass my salaams to him.

HIS CHARACTER:
HadratImam Zain al-‘Abideen(RadiALLAHuTa’alaAnho) was blessed with beautiful character, which he definitely inherited from his illustrious forefathers. He was very eloquent and very respectful. He was always willing to assist those in need. Umar Abu Nasr writes that Imam Zain al-‘Abideen(RadiALLAHuTa’alaAnho) purchased various slaves, and then set them free. He would be kind even to those who were his personal enemies. Once he heard that there was a certain person who always spoke ill of him.HadratImam Zain al-‘Abideen(RadiALLAHuTa’alaAnho) went to him and treated him with such respect and kindness, that he repented from his bad behaviour and affiliated himself to the great Imam. Many great poets have written numerousQasidasin praise of his kindness and generosity. [Masaalikas-Saalikeen, Vol. 1, Page 208]
HIS EXCELLENCE:
AbuHaazimsays, I have not seen any Jurist more exalted than him.
ZahbiandAiniyahhave said, We have not seen anyQuraishmore exalted than him.
HadratImamMaalik(RadiALLAHuTa’alaAnho) says, He is from the Men of Excellence
Ibn AbiShaibasays, In Hadith, the most exalted chain of transmission is that which is narrated from Imam Zain al-‘Abideen, (RadiALLAHuTa’alaAnho) where he narrates from his father Imam Hussain (RadiALLAHuTa’alaAnho). [Masaalikas-Saalikeen]
HadratImam Zain al-‘Abideen(RadiALLAHuTa’alaAnho) was always prepared to sacrifice everything he had for Islam. He sacrificed all his wealth twice for Islam. He was a very generous person. He used to discreetly send money to the poor people living in MadinahShareefand none of them knew that the money was coming from him. The only time this became known to them, was after hiswisaal. [Tarikhal-Khulafa]
HIS PATIENCE :
He was a person with great patience. After the Battle of Karbala, HE was marched to Damascus in chains and in the time of Abdul Malik bin Marwan , he was arrested and chained. He was then forced to walk from Madinah to Syria in chains. With all this, he never complained or said one word about his condition in the Court of Allah . He instead remained patient and madeShukr(thanked Allah ) on every step. Imam Zain al-‘Abideen’smost loyal studentSayyidunaImamZuhricould not bear to see the Imam in this condition, so he went to Abdul Malik binMarwaan, and had the great Imam released. He then took him back to Madinah Shareef with great respect. [Khazinatal-Asfiyah, Vol.1, Page 31/32]
HadratImam Zain al-‘Abideenhad a very soft heart and always thought of the sacrifice that was given by his Father Imam Hussain and all the other Martyrs on the plains of Karbala.
Once, he was walking in the blessed streets of Madinah Munawwarah, when he saw a person placing a goat on the ground, and was sharpening the knife before making the animal zibah. On seeing this, he became very saddened and thought of the martyrdom of his father. He then began to weep bitterly and asked the man, “My dear Brother! Did you give the goat some food and water ornot?”Theman replied that he had fed and given water to the goat for the past three days and had also fed it water just before laying in down. On hearing this,HadratImam Zain al-‘Abideen let out a sigh of pain and said, “It is sad, that the people ofKufadid not even care for him like (you care for) the goat. They starved him for three days and nights and then martyred him in this state.” [Masaalikas-Saalikeen]
He used to perform one thousandrakaatsofnafilsalaahevery night. One night whilst he was performing hisnafils, his house caught on fire. The people were rushing around trying to put of the fire, but he continued his Namaaz with total sincerity. After he completed hissalaah, the people told him that his house had caught on fire and yet he continued reading his salaat (Namaaz) without any showing any sign of panic. He said, “You were trying to extinguish this fire, and I was trying to extinguish the fire of the hereafter.”[Khazinatal-Asfiyah, Vol.1, Page 31]
A person once swore at Imam Zain al-Abideen(RadiALLAHuTa’alaAnho) and made slanderous remarks to him.
In response, Imam Zain al-Abideen(RadiALLAHuTa’alaAnho) said to him: ‘If the attributes, you accuse me of, are found in me then I repent to AllahAzzawajal and ask for forgiveness. If the attributes are not found in me then on your behalf I ask AllahAzzawajalfor forgiveness and repentance.’
The person saw Imam Zain al-Abideen’s patience and was overwhelmed by it. He stood up, kissed Imam Zain al-Abideen(RadiALLAHuTa’alaAnho) on the forehead and said: ‘May my soul be sacrificed for you! Whatever I accused you of was wrong. I seek forgiveness from you and I request you to pray to Allah Azzawajal for the acceptance of my repentance.’
Imam Zain al-Abideen(RadiALLAHuTa’alaAnho) agreed to pray to Allah Azzawajal on his behalf.
HIS IBAADAT:
After theshahaadatof his blessed father Imam Hussain (RadiALLAHuTa’alaAnho), he completely divorced himself from the materialistic world. He spent all his time in the remembrance of Allah. He would pass his days and nights thinking of the tragedy of Karbala and weeping. When Hadrat Imam Zain al-‘Abideen(RadiALLAHuTa’alaAnho) used to sit down to perform wudhu, then his face used to become pale, and when he stood in Namaaz, then his complexion would change to such an extent, that it would be difficult to recognise him. The people would ask, O Beloved of the Prophet (Sallallaho Alaihiwa Aalihi waSallam)! What has happened to you?and he said, O People! Namaaz is a time when you are present in the Court of Allah. Who is so naive as to smile and look happy, when he is standing before his Creator. [Awaarifal-Ma’arif, Page 475]
He used to perform one thousand rakaats of nafil salaah every night. One night whilst he was performing his nafils, his house caught on fire. The people were rushing around trying to put of the fire, but he continued his Namaaz with total sincerity. After he completed hissalaah, the people told him that his house had caught on fire and yet he continued reading his Namaaz without any showing any sign of panic. He said, You were trying to extinguish this fire, and I was trying to extinguish the fire of the hereafter. [Khazinatal-Asfiyah, Vol.1, Page 31]
ImamTalhaShafi’i(RadiALLAHuTa’alaAnho) writes that once shaitaan appeared in the form of a snake whist the Imam was in Salaah. He caught the toe of Hadrat Imam Zain al-‘Abideenin his mouth, but the Imam did not even move or show sign of discomfort. After some time, he became disillusioned and stood a distance away from the Imam. Then, a voice was heard thrice, saying the following words, You are the Jewel of the Worshipper, You are the Chief of those who prostrate (to Allah).
HIS FEAR FOR ALLAH:
He was a personality who truly feared Allah. His heart flowed with the fear of Allah. Once during Hajj, he tied his Ehraam but did not say theLabbaik. The people asked him the reason for this, and he said, I fear the I will say Labbaikand Allah will say, I do not accept your presence (Hajj). The people then told him that his Ehraam would not be proper if he did not say Labbaik. He then said Labbaik, and began to tremble in the fear of Allah until he fell off his camel and became unconscious. This continued throughout the Hajj, every time that he saidLabbaik. [Khazinatal-Asfiyah]
RECITATION OF THE HOLY QUR’AN:
Hadrat Imam Jaafar Saadiq(RadiALLAHuTa’alaAnho) says, When my grandfather,Hadrat Imam Zain al-‘Abideen(RadiALLAHuTa’alaAnho) used to recite the Quran, then the beauty of his recitation attracted the people towards him and all those listening to him would become so overwhelmed with the fear of Allah, that one did not know the condition of the other.

RETURN FROM THE BATTLE OF KARBALA:
When Imam Zain al-‘Abideenwas returning to Madinah after the Battle of Karbala, he said a few stanzas. A few stanzas are being presented for blessing.
“O Winds! If someday you pass by the sacred land, then pass my salaams
before theRawdaal-Aqdaswhere the most exaltedNabirests
The Sadness of separation from Madinah feels
like a sword stuck deep into my liver
How fortunate are the people of that city in
which is the Exalted and Beloved Prophet 
O RahmatulilAalameen! Assist Zain al-‘Abideen. 
Who is standing alone and in difficulty amongst the tyrants.”
Once a person asked Imam Zain al-‘Abideen about who will be looked upon as pious and good on the last day and he said, That person, who when he is happy, his happiness does not drive him towards wrong and that person, when he is angry, then his anger does not remove him from what is right.”
In other words, when you are happy, you should not let your happiness take you towards bad deeds and when you are angry, then you should not allow your anger to blind you from that which is right. [Masaalikas-Saalikeen]
Maqam Sayyaduna Imam Zain al-‘Abideenin Egypt

RESPECT FOR THE KHULAFA:
Once some people from Iraq, came to visit Imam Zain al-‘Abideen(RadiALLAHuTa’alaAnho). During their visit, they began to say disrespectful words concerningHadratAbu Bakr,HadratUmar andHadratUthman(RidwanullahiTa’aalAlaihimAjma’een).
When they had completed saying what they wished to, He said, Tell me, are you from amongst the firstMuhajireen, concerning whom Almighty Allah says, “Those who were driven out from their homes and their possessions seeking the grace of Allah and His Pleasure, and helping Allah and His Messenger. They are the truthful.” [SurahHashrverse 8]
They replied in the negative, by saying that the verse did not refer to them.Hadrat Imam Zain al-‘Abideen(RadiALLAHuTa’alaAnho) then asked if they were from amongst theAnsaar, concerning whom Almighty Allah says in the Quran, And those who had established their homes in this city, with faith, from inception, They, (who) show love to those, who migrated towards them, and who find no need in their hearts, for that which has been left, and they give preference to them over their lives, even though they are in great need.[SurahHashrverse 9]
Again, they answered in the negative. He then said, I swear, that you are not even worthy of this verse of the Quran wherein Allah says, And those who came after them say, O Allah! Pardon us and our brothers, who brought faith before us, And keep not in our hearts hostility towards those withImaan. O Our Lord, Verily you are most Compassionate, Most Merciful.
After saying this, he asked them to leave his presence. In other words, he showed them that they were not from amongst theMuhajireen, or theAnsaar, or even from amongst the believers. He therefore shunned them for being disrespectful to the Khulafa-e-Thalaasa.

KARAAMAT:
TheKaraamatsof Imam Zain al-‘Abideenare numerous, but a few are being quoted for attaining blessings.
Incident During Hajj:
Two peoplewheremakingtawaafof the Kaaba and came toHajr-e-Aswad. When they touched theHajr-e-Aswad, both their hands became stuck on it. People tried very hard to release their hands, but it was not possible.HadratImam Zain al-‘Abideenentered the Haram whilst this was happening. He saidBismillahhirrahmaannirrahimand then placed his hands on theHajr-e-Aswad. Immediately the two peoples hands were released. [Khazinatal-Asfiyah, Vol. 1, Page 34]
The Deer:
OnceHadrathad gone into the jungle with his companions. As they sat to eat, a deer passed by them. The Imam called to the deer and asked it to partake in the meal with them. The Deer immediately came to the Imam and partook in the meal provided. [Masaalikas-Saalikeen, Vol. 1, Page 11]
ADeersComplaint:
A deer once came toHadratImam Zain al-‘Abideen(RadiALLAHuTa’alaAnho), whilst he was in a jungle. The animal fell to the ground and began to say something. Those with the Imam asked what had happened. The Imam said that the deer was complaining about a man who captured her child.HadratImam Zain al-‘Abideen(RadiALLAHuTa’alaAnho) summoned the man. The man brought with him the child belonging to the deer. Imam Zain al-‘Abideen(RadiALLAHuTa’alaAnho) asked him to release the deer, which he gladly did. After some time, the deer took its young, and said something and then left. Those present were amazed and asked the Imam what the deer said as she left. The Imam said, She said,JazakAllahufiDarainKhair. [Masaalikas-Saalikeen]
HIS CHILDREN:
Almighty Allah blessedHadratImam Zain al-‘Abideen(RadiALLAHuTa’alaAnho) with fifteen children. Their blessed names are as follows :

7.HadratHussainAsghar, (RadiALLAHuTa’alaAnho)
8.HadratAbdurRahmaan, (RadiALLAHuTa’alaAnho)
9.HadratSulaiman, (RadiALLAHuTa’alaAnho)
10.Hadrat Ali, (RadiALLAHuTa’alaAnho)
11. one more son whose name is not known.

WISAAL SHARIF:
He was given poison by Waleed bin Abdul Malik and was thus madeshaheedon the 18th of Muharram and according to some narrations on the 12th or 22nd of Muharram at the age of 57 or 58. He passed away inMadinatul Munawwarah and his Mazaar Shareef is inJannatulBaqi. Few have said that hisMazarSharif is in Egypt and there is a Mosque and Shrine of Imam Zain al-‘Adideenin Cairo, Egypt as well but the majority have accepted his Mazar Sharif being in Baqee al Garqad, Madina Munawwarah. ALLAH & His Prophet  Knows the Best!
After his wisaal, his camel placed its head on his mazaar shareef and cried.Hadrat Imam Baqir tried to move it away, but it refused. In the end, he said, “She will die in this exact place.” Eventually she did pass away at the Mazaar of Imam Zain al-‘Abideen. [Masaalikas-Saalikeen, Vol. 1, Page 207]

Urs of Hzrt Khwaja Mumshad alo Dennori / Renoravi (R.A) Muharram 1440 Hijri

URS 14th Muharram 1440 Hijri

Hzrt Khwaja Mumshad  (R.A) ,Their title was Karimud Deen Mun’im
Dinwar is a city between the cities of Hamdaan and Baghdad. He hails from Dinwar. He is known by the title Karimud Deen Mun’im because of his generosity. He was very wealthy. He attended to the requirements of a great number of needy and poor. Afterwards he adopted poverty and went to Makkah Mukarramah.
He acquired perfection in mujaahadah and riyaadhat (spiritual exercises and penances). He was a Hafiz of the Qur’aan and an Imaam in Uloom-e-Zaahiri and Uloom-e-Baatini.
He was honoured with the company (suhbat) of Ibn Jala’ and his seniors. Besides Khwaja Hubairah, he (Hadhrat Mumshad) had acquired Ijaazat (i.e. Khilaafate – Permission to initiate Mureedeen) in several other Silsilah as well.
There is some uncertainty in whether Khwaja Mumshad Dinwari and Khwaja Ilw Dinwariare the same person or two different persons. Since the date of death and other anecdotes attached to both names are identical, it appears that both names refer to the same person. However, on account of the Silsilah attached to the names being different, some claim that these two names refer to different persons. Khwajah Ilw Dinwari is enumerated in the Chishty Silsilah while Khwajah Mumshad Dinwari is said to belong to the Suharwardi Silsilah. However, the first view is more reliable.
He was a perpetual faster. It is said that even during infancy he would sometimes abstain from drinking his mother’s milk. He is therefore called a born Wali .
Before becoming bay’t, he was in the suhbat (company) of Hazrat Khidhr (A.S) who instructed him to attach himself to a Shaikh. Immediately on becoming bay’t, he was given Ijaazat (appointed Khalifah). His Shaikh cast Tawajjuh on him and made a special dua for him. Simultaneously with the dua Hazrat Ilw Mumshad became unconscious. He regained conscious only to become unconscious again. After this state (consciousness and unconsciousness) occurred forty times, his Shaikh applied his saliva to HadhratMumshad’s mouth. This completely stabilised him. The Shaikh asked: “Ilw, what did you see?” He said:
“In thirty years of mujaahadah I did not acquire what I gained in a little tawajjuh of the Shaikh.”
Hazrat Mumshad’s words had a powerful effect on the hearts of people. Once when he saw a few idolaters worshipping an idol, he said:
“Does it not shame you to worship something besides Allah?” 
This statement alone constrained the whole group of idolaters to accept Islam. (A person whose words exercise overwhelming influence on the audience is called Saahib-e-Ta’theer).

Some of His Sayings :
“ A man who considers himself significant even while in the company of a buzrug will gain nothing from the advices of that buzrug.

  •  Sitting in the suhbat of the people of rectitude (i.e. the Auliya) produces rectitude in the heart while the company of the people of corruption produces corruption in the heart.
  •  Abandonment of futility is called Tasawwuf. Abandoning things to which the heart inclines is called tawakkul.
  •  Until I had left behind all my knowledge and conditions (spiritual states), I did not go into the company of a buzrug. After I had left my Uloom and Haalaat(spiritual states), I entered into the service of a buzrug and waited in expectation of the barakaat (spiritual blessings and benefits) which are obtainable from hisziyaarat (looking at him) and his discourse. When a man goes with his own spiritual states to a buzrug, then he is deprived of the fuyoodh (spiritual benefits) of that buzrug because of engrossment in his own knowledge.
  •  If you accumulate the wisdom of former and later times and if you claim to possess the spiritual states of the Auliya, you will not reach the rank of theAarifeen as long as your baatin (spiritual heart) is not at peace with Allah and as long as you lack complete reliance on what has been predestined for you.
  •  The changing conditions (of life on earth) do not influence a man whose goal is Allah Ta’ala.
  •  On one of my journeys I saw a Shaikh from whom the signs of goodness exuded. I requested him fornaseehat. He said:
    “Keep up your courage and guard it. Courage is the forerunner of a man’s righteous deeds. All acts and states become simple for one whose courage is high.

 

His Demise
In TabqaatImaam Sha’rani says that Khwaja Mumshad (rahmatullah alayh) died in the year 297 Hijri. However, according to the author of Khazeenah 298 Hijri is the unanimous claim of the historians. The author of Anwar records the date as 14th Muharram 299 Hijri which was the era of the reign of the Abbasi KhalifahMuqtadir Bil-lah. His grave is in Dinwar.
On the occasion of his death, a buzrug who was sitting near to him was making dua for Jannat (i.e. May Allah grant Hazrat Mumshad Jannat). Hazrat Mumshad laughed and said:
“For 30 years Jannat with all its adornments appeared before me, but I did not take a proper look at it even once. I yearn for the Master of Jannat.”
Khwaja Abu Muhammad, Khwaja Abu Ahmad BagdaadiKhwaja Abu Ishaq and KhwajaIsti’dad Ahmad Dinwari are his khulafaa. Among them Khwaja Abu Ishaq is a member of our Shajarah.

Muḥarram  is the first month of the Islamic calendar. It is one of the four sacred months of the year. It is held to be the holiest month, . Since the Islamic calendar is a lunar calendar, Muharram moves from year to year when compared with the Gregorian calendar.

Hazrat  UMAR FAROOQ (R.A) – THE SECOND CALIPH OF ISLAM ELECTION Before he passed away, Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (radi Allahu anhu) consulted the senior Sahaba and elected Sayyiduna Umar (radi Allahu anhu) as the second Caliph of the Muslims. EARLY LIFE He was the son of Khattab and is famous in Islamic history as “Al Farooq” or “One who Distinguishes between Right and Wrong.” His acceptance of Islam is also very famous. as an ordinary soldier. This is an example of the Islamic teachings of obedience to leadership!

Khulafa-e-Rashideen (R.A)
The Companions of the Beloved Prophet (S.A.W) hold the highest status in all His (S.A.W)’s Ummah. It is the belief That Great Caliphs (Khulafa-e-Rashideen (R.A) are superior to all other Sahabah Ikraam.
Khulafa-e-Rashideen means “The Rightly Guided”. They truly followed in the foot steps of Our Prophet (S.A.W) and became the successors after Him (S.A.W).
The Holy Prophet (S.A.W) once said “Caliphate shall last for 30 years after me, and thereafter Kingship will be established”.
The Four main Caliphs (In Order of Caliphate) were:
Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddique (R.A) (For a period of about 2 years).
Hazrat Umar-e-Farooque (R.A) (For a period of about 10 years).
Hazrat Usman-e-Ghani (R.A) (For a period of about 12 years).
Hazrat Moula Ali Murtaza (Karam Allah Wajhu).(For a period of about 6 years).
Hazrat Imaam Hasan (R.A) (For a period of about 6 months , After Hazrat Ali (R.A)

Hazrat Usman-e-Ghani (R.A) were one of the Companions of Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.w), who were given the reward of Heaven by Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.w) in the world.
Their name was Usman bin Affan (R.A) and Their titles include “Al Ghani” (The Generous) and “Zun Noorain” (Possessor of Two Lights).
Hazrat Usman Ibn-e-Affan belonged to Banu Umayyia, clan of the Quresh. Their name as by the Patronymic traditions was Abu Amr. He belonged to a rich family of Makkah. He was borned 6 years after the incident of Amul-Feel in Taif, 573 C.E.

In the early stage of Islam he was one of the literate men both in Kuffars and Muslims. His family was one of the respectful family of Makkah. When migrated to Madinah from Makkah, he owned a well of fresh water from a Jew and gave it free to the Muslims, who were in deep trouble by absence of fresh water in the Holy city of Madinah.

Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.w) gave him the glad tiding of Paradise upon this memorable act. He participated in all the battles of Islam with Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.w). He donated a huge amount of property whenever needed by Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.w) in the way of ALLAH and got the title of “Ghani” (One who donated his wealth in the way of ALLAH), By Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.w).
Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.w) gave his two daughters in the Nikkah of Usman (R.A). For this act he was rewarded a title of “Dhun-Norain” by Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.w).

Hazrat Usman (R.A) participated in many battles with Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.w) against the Kuffars. On 5th Hijri, he was set to detention by the Kuffars in Makkah on sending him for the prior information for reciting Hajj by Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.w). The Kuffars set out the rumor that they had killed Hazrat Usman (r.a) upon which Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.w) took an Oath by his 1,400 Companions (r.a) under the tree of Babool. Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.w) made his left hand to the Oath as the hand of Hazrat Usman (r.a). This incident is the most popular in the history of Islam and is termed as “Oath of Rizwan (Bait-e-Rizwan).
Hazrat Usman (r.a) passed approximately 12 years of His great Caliphate after the Martyrdom of Hazrat Umar (r.a). The most important work done in His Caliphate was the rebuilding of “Masjid-e-Nabwi” He made it 3 times greater than its original shape and area.
The most beautiful work which Muslim Ummah can’t forget till the day of Judgment was publishing of the Holy Quran in the form of a book. So, in this way Quran was being presented first time in the form of a Holy Book and was sent to different countries to the Muslims.
On the 18th Dhul-Hajj, Friday 35 Hijri, when He was reciting the Holy Quran in His home in the position of Fasting, was being martyred.
He is buried in the blesses graveyard of Madina Shareef calld Janath-al-Baqia
Sayings of Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.w):

1. Every Prophet will have a special companion of Him in the Heaven, and my companion there will be Usman. (Ibn-e-Majah)
2. Should I not feel shame from Usman to whom the angels feel shame from. (Muslim)
3. Oh Usman!, if ALLAH some day give you this government and the hypocrites want you to put off this shirt (government) which ALLAH gave you, then you should not put it off. [Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.w) repeated these words three times] (Ibn-e-Majah, Tirimzi)
4. Once a funeral came in front of Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.w) to offer Salah (funeral prayer). Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.w) didn’t offered the prayer of that person and went back. On being asking Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.w) said: He kept hatred from Usman, thus ALLAH kept hatred from him. (Mishkawt)
5. Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.w) married his daughter Hazrat Ruqqiya (r.a) with Hazrat Usman Ghani (r.a). When she died, Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.w) said: It is the order of ALLAH to marry her sister (Ruqqiya’s) Umm-e-Kulsoom with Usman. So Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.w) married her with Usman Ghani (r.a). When she died, Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.w) said: If I would have another daughter, I would have also married her with Usman. (Mishkawt).

This year & in-fact similar to every year Chief guest were Hzrt Syed Arif Shah Noori from Hyderabad. They also with their Devotees attended the auspicious occasion of Urs Sharif & took part in Dua’s & Khatam Sharif.

The Late Hazrth Haji Peer Aftab Ahmed Niazi (R.A) were an exceptional Spiritual Guide (Murshid) themselves. They had a huge number of Disciples (Murid) all over the world as well as India. People still remember them to this day for their excellent qualities in personality and services as Gaddi Nashin & Chief Moaalim /Khadim of Ajmer Sharif.
Disciples travel to Ajmer Sharif during the URS of Hazrth Sahib (R.A).

    In their life time Hazrth sahib (R.A) travelled to other countries propagating the Ajmer Sufi Message of: “Hazrath Khwaja Moinuddin Chishty (R.A)”. Hazrth Sahib (R.A) gave his Seven son’s Physical & Theoretical Tasawwuf  (Mysticism) education during their upbringing. It is these sons & Grandsons (Gaddi Nashin & Chief Moallim ) that now travel throughout the world propagating the Sufi principle of life & treating people through ancient Methods of Sufi Healing through the blessing of Ajmer Sharif shrine.
Hz Syed Aftab Ahmed sahib (R.A) Passed away during Zohur Namaz while in Sajda (Postration). They Died in Muscut  in Oman,  From there they were brought back to Ajmer Sharif to be buried  in Ajmer Sharif Dargah Demise.
Hazrth Sahib (R.A) were laid to rest in the Cemetery Dedicated for the Ajmer Sharif Gaddi -Nashin community, located within the demise of the blessed Ajmer Sharif Dargah. This demise is called “Chaar Yaar”.

Ab’ul Hasan Yamin al-Din Khusro (R.a), usually known by his pen name as Amir Khusro (or Amir Khusro), is a greatly loved composer of poetry, song and riddles from India. He was born in northern India. His father was of Turkish descent but born in Balkh, Afghanistan, the same region that gave birth to Jalaluddin Rumi. Khusrau’s mother was from Delhi. In 1206 Hazrat Amir Khusrau’s father migrated from transoxiana to delhi but settled in Patiali ( modern Uttar pradesh).
Amir Khusro (R.a) was a Sufi and disciple of Hazrat Nizamuddin Aulia, Mehboob e ilahi (R.a). By the order of his Pir/Sheikh/Spiritual mentor and guide, he developed Urdu language and was famously known as “father of urdu language”. Soon it became the tongue of Sufis both oral and in written forms. Urdu replaced persian language which was used for centuries for administrative work and for bussiness purpose.
Hazrat Ami Khusro (R.a) is often called the “father of qawwali music” — the ecstatic devotional Sufi music of India and Pakistan. He is also credited with the invention of tabla drums, the two hand drums played throughout the Indian subcontinent.Hazrat Amir Khusrau (R.a) was a classical poet and composer who served as court poet to several Delhi sultans.
His songs are still widely sung by Sufis and the devout, in every Sufi qawwali or in sama, around the world. Especially in India and Pakistan.
Hazrat Amir Khusro (R.a)reat Sufi, a wealthy merchant who once exchanged all his wealth for a pair of His Holiness Sultan-ul-Mashaikh shoes, an intellectual gaint of many languages, an artist, a prolific author, a genius musician who invented the ‘sitar’, a versatile composer and a true devoted “Mreed/disciple” of Holiness. He was “All-in-One” type of highly amazing mixture of Divine gifts
Hazrat Amir Khusro (R.A) was the son of Amir Alachin a Turk from Laccheen. His actual name was Saifuddin Mahmood Shamsi. At the invasion of Gengiz Khan he migrated from his native place Kesh near Samarkand to Balkh. Saifuddin was the chieftan of Hazara. Shamsuddin Iltamish the King of Delhi welcomed them to his capital. He provided shelter to the dislodged princes artisans, scholars and rich nobles. Saifuddin was among them.
It was around 626/ 360 A.H/1226 A.D. In 1230 A.D he was granted afief in the district of Patiali (in Etah District-Uttar Pradesh).
He married to BiBi Daulat Naz, who bore him three sons and one daughter. Yaminuddin (Khusro) was one among them born at Patiali, presently known as Hazrat Amir Khusro Nagar in District Etah (U.P.) in the year 652-653 A.H/1252-53 A.D. Yaminuddin’s (Khusro) father Saifuddin was mostly engaged in battles, and was killed in 660 A.H/1260 A.D. Yaminuddin or Khusrau was an intelligent child.
Poetry came to him at the early age of eight. He wrote his first diwan of poetry “Tuh’fatus-saghir” in 1271 A.d.In 1272 at the age of 19 years, Amir Khusrau’s First job was a royal court poet in the with King Balban. He was a royal coutier in more then 7 different Kings,Governors of his time. In the same year 1325 A.d, when Hazrat Nizamuddin aulia (R.a) left this world, soon after 6 months Hazrat Amir khusrau (R.a) also followed his sheikh and left this word with these words:
It is written in books that when Hazrat Amir Khusro, went to see His Holiness Hazrat Syed Nizamuddin Aulia (R.A) for the very first time. It is said that young Amir Khusrau (R.a) went to His Holiness khanqah, but did not entered and remained at the door by remarking, “I shall select my “Peer/Spiritual guide” myself, and if it is bestowed with Divine Power he will converse with me even from distance.” Thus sitting at the door he composed:

Tu an Shah-e-ke bar aiwan-e-qasrat.
Kabutar gar nashinad baz garded.
Gharib-e mustanande baradar amad.
Be ayat andar un ya baz gardad.
(You are such a mighty King that if a pigeon sits on your palace, it turns into a hawk. An outsider and a needy person has come at your door, please let him know whether he should come in, or go away).
His Holiness who had supernatural powers sent him the following verse in reply:
“Biya yet andarun marde haqiqat,
Kibama yak nafas hamraz gardad,
Agar ablah buwad an mard nadan,
Azan rahe ki amad baz gardad.”
(The person who knows the truth may come inside so that we may exchange divine secrets between us for a moment. If that person is ignorant, then he should return on the same path from where he has come here.)

Hazrat Amir Khusro (R.a) immediately got up and ran to His Holiness and fell on his feet and wept! His Holiness accepted him as his disciple (murid) and gradually the two became inseparable and attached to each other.
Love is deep rooted in human nature. Every Soul has a natural inclination towards another soul. Love in fact, –beautifies the soul, and beauty of the soul resides in love for humanity. Love, the Sufis believe is greater than religion. Love is the essence of all creeds. Every worshiper worships God out of Love. Love enslaves him. The true majestic welcomes love whatever its guise. One who has a perfect insight beholds God in everything.

“Gori sovay sej par, mukh par daaray kes,
Chal Khusrau ghar aapnay, saanjh bhayee chahu des.”
“The fair maiden rests on the wreath (of roses),
Her tresses covering her face,
Let us, Oh Khusrau go back now,
The dark dusk settles in four corners.”

Urs of Hzrt Usman Harooni (R.A) 2018

 

 

Urs Sharif of Hazrat Khwaja Usman Harooni (R.A)  is on 5th & 6th Shawwal .This is Approx Wednesday 20th June 2018 depending on the Lunar date of your country.

It is  also Panjavi Sharif on this day .. a Monthly Fathia Shairf (Commemoration) for Hazrath Khwaja Usman Harooni (R.A).

The Chillah of Hazrat Khwaja Usman Harooni (R.A)

Behind the Chillah of Hazrat Khwaja Moinuddin Hasan Chishty (R.A), the Chillah of Hazrat Khwaja Usman Harooni (R.A)(Usmani Chillah) stands with its beautiful building which is surrounded by hills and looks out across the Anasagar lake.

Within the Usmani Chillah compound are buried the holy relics of Hazrat Khwaja Usman e Harooni (R.A) , brought from Mecca in 1935 AD, by Nawab Gudri Shah Baba III.

Khwaja Usman Haarooni (R.A)

They were the Spiritual Master/Guide/Murshid of Hz. Khwaja Gharib Nawaz (R.A)

Khwaja Usman Harooni was born in Haroon, which is in Iran. According to some, he was born in 526 AH (1131 AD) and according to others, he was born in 510 AH (1116 AD). He is also known by his nicknames as Abu Noor and Abu Mansur.

When he was rather young, he came in touch with an absorbed mystic (majzub) by the name of Chirk. This association with Chirk brought about a significant transformation in his life. As a result, the material world lost its charm for him and he decided to embrace a higher moral and spiritual life.

Khwaja Usman Harooni went to meet Hazrat Haji Sharif Zindani, a renowned mystic and saint of the Chishti Order, with a request to be enrolled as his spiritual disciple. Khwaja Haji Sharif Zindani found him to be a fit person and accepted the request, by placing a four-edged cap upon the head of Khwaja Usman Harooni.

He then told him that the four-edged cap implied the following four things:

First is the renunciation of this world;
Second is the renunciation of the world hereafter;
Third is the renunciation of the desires of the self;
Fourth is the renunciation of everything other than God.

Khwaja Usman Harooni spent over thirty years in the company of his spiritual guide. During this period, he was engaged in ascetic practices and prayers. As time passed, he gained many spiritual accomplishments. He was then asked by his spiritual guide to move on and spread the Gospel of Truth.

Travels
Khwaja Usman Harooni undertook many tours and travels to preach the Gospel of Truth. In the process, he visited many countries and cities. Among them are prominent Bukhara, Baghdad, Falooja, Damascus, Mecca and Madina. During the course of his travels, he performed the Hajj, or the annual pilgrimage to Mecca.

In almost all cities, he enjoyed the company of renowned sufis and accomplished dervishes. And while on way to Oosh, he met Sheikh Bahauddin of Oosh. And when he reached Badakshan, he met a saintly man who was one of the attendants of Hazrat Junayd of Baghdad.

He reached Baghdad once again, and there he stayed for a while. During all the travels, he was accompanied by his close and dear spiritual disciple, Khwaja Moin-ud-din Hasan Chishti, who carried his tiffin basket.

After a while, Hazrat Usman Harroni visited India, during the rule of Sultan Altamish.

Death
Khwaja Usman Harooni breathed his last on 5th of Shawaal in the year 617 AH (1220 AD). His blessings are still invoked by thousands of people belonging to every strata of society and every school of thought. While his tomb lies in Mecca, there is also a symbol of his strength and source of his blessings at the Usmani Chilla at Ajmer.

Message and teachings
According to Khwaja Usman Harooni, a great man is one who is endowed with virtues like contentment, sincerity, self-abnegation, self-sacrifice and above all, spirit of renunciation. He said that the ego in a man was an enemy, as it did not allow him to think rationally, act wisely and live happily. He emphasised that unless a man loves human beings, it is impossible for him to love God.

His advice was simple and his message was as simple and that was “Live”.

To exist is one thing but to LIVE another. To exist means to merely breathe, but to live means to keep the welfare of fellow beings uppermost in priority. To live a good life requires a serious effort on one’s own part. No exterior agency, legislation or act can make the man a moral being. Inner discovery is very important.

To help his disciples live a better life, Khwaja Usman Harooni gave discourses at times to guide them towards a better path. Of his many teachings, prominent are:

  • Once the Friend becomes your friend, the whole universe becomes yours. Then it is necessary that you should become unmindful of everything else except the Friend, should ever be with Him and should follow Him faithfully.
  • According to him, the faithful is one who keeps three things dear to his heart: mendicancy, illness and death.
  • It is best to not weep or wail in times of difficulty. In fact, according to the witness of Hazrat Abdullah Ansari, Holy Prophet Mohammed has laid down that the one who weeps and wails in times of trouble and tribulation invites the curse of God upon himself.
  • The one who feeds the hungry is dear to God. God fulfils a thousand wants and frees such a person from hell-fire.
  • He who gives food to a dervish becomes free from all sins.
