Masters (Murshid) true and false!

I Would like to share a prominent factual account of a prominent Wali-Allah (R.A). In it is a scene of wisdom for the masses that suffer in this way when in search of their Kamil (Effective & Credible)  Murshid.

The respectable Wali of Allah (R.A)  quotes….

I learned to know four true kinds of masters and four false ones. Among the true I saw first the one who would never answer the appeal of a seeker until he was fully prepared. The second kind would not initiate anyone until a long and trying period of probation had been undergone by the disciple. The third, in order to keep away undesirable adherents, would make himself appear so utterly disagreeable that everyone would run away at the sight of him. And the fourth would so disguise himself to escape the praise and publicity of the world that none would believe for a moment that he was truly a Murshid.

Among the false teachers I first met the hypocrite, who increases the number of his adherents by telling most wonderful stories and showing them tricks of phenomena. The second apostate was pious, disguising his infirmities and failings under the cloak of morality and always busy with worship and prayer. The third was the money-taking master, who eagerly seized upon every opportunity of emptying the pockets of his pupils. The fourth was he who was greedy for the adoration, worship and servility of his followers.

This experience of different Murshids prepared me for the ideal master.

"LOVE!"

Love has its limitations when it is directed to limited beings, but love that is directed to God has no limitations, God alone deserves all love, and the freedom of Love is in giving it to God. Devotion to the Teacher is not for the sake of the Teacher, it is for God. Even in the case of a Teacher, the devotee may make a mistake by halting at the feet of the Teacher and not progressing to God. The Teacher is a shield covering God, a gate through which one has to go. As it is necessary to enter the gate, so to reach God it is necessary to have devotion to the Teacher first. But the ideal of real progress is that man, through his devotion, arrives to God, freeing himself from all limitations and bondages. For the Teacher, one has gratitude, but love and devotion is for God.

This month Ekisvi Sharif is on: On 21st  Rabi’ al-Thani/ Rabi ul Akhir 1437
Approx :Monday 1st or Tuesday 2nd February 2016
(Depending on Lunar date of your country).
On every twenty-first of the Lunar Month in Ajmer Sharif, highly inspiring programme of Fathia-e- Hazrath Imaam -E-Ali (R.A) is celebrated at a specific demise at the shrine in Ajmer Sharif.
** Who was Hazrath (His Eminence) Ali (R.A) ??? ***
Alī ibn Abī Ṭālib ; 13th Rajab, 22 or 16 BH – 21st Ramaḍān, 40 AH; was the cousin and son-in-law of prophet Muhammad (PBUT), ruling over the Islamic Caliphate from 656 to 661. A son of Abu Talib, Hazrath Ali (R.A) was also the first male convert to Islam. Sufis consider Hazrat Ali (R.A) the fourth and final of the Rashidun (rightly guided Caliphs).
His father was Abu Talib and his mother was Fatima bint Asad, but he was raised in the household of Prophet Muhammad (PBUT), who themselves were raised by Abu Talib, Muhammad’s (PBUT) uncle, and Hazrat Ali (R.A)’s father. When prophet Muhammad (PBUT) reported receiving a divine revelation, Hazrat Ali (R.A) was the first male to accept his message, dedicating his life to the cause of Islam.
Hazrat Ali (R.A) migrated to Medina shortly after Prophet Muhammad (PBUT) did. Once there Prophet Muhammad (PBUT) told Hazrat Ali (R.A) that God had ordered him to give his daughter, Fatimah, to Hazrat Ali (R.A) in marriage.
Hazrat Ali (R.A) was appointed Caliph by the Companions (the Sahaba) of Prophet Muhammad (PBUT) in Medina after the assassination of the third caliph, Uthman ibn Affan.
He encountered defiance and civil war during his reign.
n 661, Hazrat Ali (R.A) was attacked one morning while praying in the mosque of Kufa, and died a few days later.
In Muslim culture, Hazrat Ali (R.A) is respected for his courage, knowledge, belief, honesty, unbending devotion to Islam, deep loyalty to Prophet Muhammad (PBUT), equal treatment of all Muslims and generosity in forgiving his defeated enemies, and therefore is central to mystical traditions in Islam such as Sufism.
Hazrat Ali (R.A) retains his stature as an authority on Quranic exegesis, Islamic jurisprudence and religious thought. Hazrat Ali (R.A) holds a high position in almost all Sufi orders which trace their lineage through him to Prophet Muhammad (PBUT). Hazrat Ali (R.A)’s influence has been important throughout Islamic history.
